On Tuesday, PG&E suspended with pay a company executive who got caught using an alias when he joined an online anti-SmartMeter group. Today, that exec resigned. From the Chronicle:

"Mr. Devereaux tendered his resignation this morning," said PG&E spokesman Jeff Smith. "Greg Kiraly, vice president overseeing SmartMeter operations, continues to lead the program and will work in the coming days to identify someone to handle the duties Mr. Devereaux was handling."
