What Kind of High School Job Training is the 'Right' Kind?
For decades California public high schools have offered job training classes for graduation credits. One of those classes sends students to work for free at a retail store like Sears, Best Buy, or Home Depot. The course is still around despite efforts by education officials to make career education more academic. And that has sparked a debate about how to give students who may not be going to college the job skills they'll need after they get their diploma.

My Spot: Windfall Farm
This year, we're taking a look at places in California that are special to you. Our occasional series, called "My Spot," celebrates your personal experiences with meaningful parts of our diverse state. Today, we meet a 14-year-old girl from Moraga who takes us to visit Windfall farms in the hills of Green Valley. This piece was produced by Silvia Francis.
