Los Angeles saxophonist Kamasi Washington's new CD is called "The Epic." And that's a good name because it's three hours of music on three CDs, touching on a whole bunch of different styles. Jazz critic Andrew Gilbert says this sprawling work is a lot to take in, but it has its rewards.
