California Women Can Soon Skip the Doctor to Get Their Birth Control
In California, a new state law will allow pharmacists to prescribe birth control pills, order lab tests and a carry out a few other duties once reserved for doctors. In part, the move was intended to address an increasing shortage of primary care physicians in the state.
