Sunday is the season finale of "True Detective," the HBO crime-noir series that takes place in Southern California. In season two of the show, three detectives are tasked with solving the murder of the city manager of Vinci. Never heard of Vinci? That's because there's no such city. We talk with KPCC's Kevin Ferguson, who's producing a podcast called "Welcome to Vinci." The podcast fact-checks elements of the show and fleshes out the underlying history that drives the plot.
