Some Valley Fire Evacuees Return to Burglarized Homes

Some Lake County residents are returning to homes that were threatened by the Valley Fire last week, only to find them intact but burglarized. The sheriff's department has received a handful of theft reports from residents of Hidden Valley Lake on the eastern edge of the burn area. Meanwhile, prosecutors are charging seven people caught in evacuated areas last week with "looting-related" offenses.
