San Francisco Set to Implement Laura's Law
Starting next week, San Francisco will be the fifth county in the state to implement Laura's Law. The measure allows judges to force mentally ill people to get treatment.

With all the wealth and talent San Francisco has, it has yet to solve one of its biggest problems: homelessness. At last count, there were roughly 7,000 homeless people living on the city's streets or in shelters. KQED's Stephanie Martin Taylor has the story of one of them, a woman who sleeps on her front doorstep.
