SF Voters Turn Down Propositions to Limit Airbnb Rentals, Mission Development
Airbnb scored a big victory in its hometown Tuesday night, when voters in San Francisco rejected a ballot measure that would have placed stricter limits on short-term rentals. Proposition F would have limited how long hosts can rent out their homes to 75 nights per year. Opponents spent $8 million to fight the measure, most of which was put up by Airbnb. San Francisco voters also turned down a proposition that would have halted development of market-rate housing in the Mission District.

Patients may misunderstand medication instructions, or have trouble getting to their appointments. Los Angeles County is experimenting with a low-tech solution to help. Community health workers spend time with patients and help them better manage their own health.
