Toxic Algae Forces Delay of Recreational Crab Season
California Fish and Game officials have voted to delay the start of the Dungeness crab fishing season for up to 180 days. It was supposed to start on Saturday. But a neurotoxin called domoic acid has been found in Dungeness crab and other rock crabs along the coastline between Oregon and Santa Barbara.
