Natural Gas Leaks Erode California's Efforts to Address Climate Change
State regulators have ordered Southern California Gas Company to give a detailed plan on how it will plug a natural gas leak that's been going on for more than a month in northeast Los Angeles. The plan must be delivered by Monday. The leak is at one of the largest natural gas storage facilities on the West Coast. Fumes from the leak, near Porter Ranch, have sickened residents there. About 700 families have had to move out of their homes so far. The natural gas leak is also proving to be a huge environmental hazard that's having a state-wide impact.

Developmental Disability Advocates Demand Funding Boost
Hundreds of people with developmental disabilities marched in seven cities throughout California on Thursday. They say their services are on the brink of collapse, and they're asking state lawmakers to increase funding by 10 percent.
