Gov. Jerry Brown didn't mention high-speed rail in his State of the State address last week. But the project has made it onto the agenda of lawmakers this year. An Assembly budget subcommittee will look into the project this week. And the head of the Senate transportation committee says he also plans to hold an oversight hearing on the project's schedule and cost.
