Los Angeles County homeowners and the group Consumer Watchdog petitioned the Public Utilities Commission Monday, demanding a formal investigation of the ongoing Aliso Canyon gas leak in north L.A. County. The PUC has an informal inquiry going on right now -- but regulators have said they plan to keep those findings secret until they're deemed complete.
