Judge Approves Sale of OC Register and Riverside Press-Enterprise
A federal bankruptcy judge on Monday approved the sale of the Orange County Register and the Riverside Press-Enterprise. The sale of two of the Southland's biggest dailies went through after another deal with the owner of the L.A. Times was blocked.
California's Community Colleges Move to Change Accrediting Agency
The board that oversees California's community colleges is replacing the agency that accredits the schools, the Accrediting Commission for Community and Junior Colleges (ACCJC). The agency has faced criticism since 2013 for threatening to shut down City College of San Francisco. The system will transition to a new accreditor over the next couple of years.
