It's finally Election Day in California. A Field Poll out today projects that around 8 million voters will take part in today's primary -- that's roughly 45 percent of registered voters. That falls short of the 2008 presidential primary, when nearly 58 percent of registered voters cast ballots. The report also estimates that about 5 million Californians will vote by mail -- that would be a new record -- because more counties are eliminating in-person voting.
