A massive development proposed for the last big piece of private land along the Orange County coast goes before the California Coastal Commission Wednesday. Developer Newport Banning Ranch wants to build nearly 900 homes and a resort hotel, against the recommendation of the coastal commission's staff.

New California ITT Tech Students Can Seek Loan Forgiveness
ITT Technical Institutes is shutting down its campuses nationwide. The U.S Department of Education said they wouldn't pay for loans to ITT tech last week citing consumer concerns. The California Department of Consumer Affairs says students enrolled after April 25 can apply for loan forgiveness.
