In Los Angeles, Black Lives Matter activists are rejecting the LAPD's assertion that officers fatally shot an 18-year-old man in South L.A. over the weekend only after he turned toward them with a gun. The rejection comes despite security camera video showing the youth carrying a gun in the moments before the confrontation. Police released the video shortly before the police commission meeting that attracted dozens of protesters.
