Just downstream from the Oroville Dam is the Feather River Fish Hatchery. It's the largest hatchery in the state, and was recently the scene of a dramatic rescue. As the spillway broke down at the Oroville reservoir, mud and debris began to foul the river. That caused a crisis for the hatchery, which relies on clean river water. We talk with Anna Kastner, fishery hatchery manager, to hear how a group of people rallied to save millions of endangered and threatened fish and fish eggs.
