The Oakland Tribune has posted an Oakland Homicide Map for 2010.

Remember when the New York Times did its "Portraits of Grief" series in 2001, publishing mini-bios of every single person who perished in the September 11 attacks?

Seeing the actual faces of these local murder victims may provoke a similar reaction: Namely, a lot of sadness.

And by the way, if you haven't seen the following maps, they're really pretty amazing, charting many types of crime by location, date, and even time of day.
