The California Report today takes a look at damage and recovery efforts in Santa Cruz and Crescent City, two cities hit by hard tsunami surges on Friday. The Sentinel reports that 18 boats sunk in Santa Cruz, with four being pulled out as of Sunday night. And in Crescent City, in the northern corner of the state, the damage was much more serious. (The local paper’s headline: “Harbor Basically Destroyed.”) The cleanup this weekend was hampered by bad weather.
