GLBT History Museum

What is being called the first GLBT history museum in the U.S. opened in the Castro today. (Read the press release here.)

Ten years in the works, the GLBT Historical Society site debuts with two exhibits: ""Our Vast Queer Past: Celebrating GLBT History" and "Great Collections of the GLBT Historical Society Archives."

Hours are Wednesday-Saturday, 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., and
Sunday, noon to 5:00 p.m.

The museum is located at 4127 18th St.
