Who showed you how to register to vote, find reliable information or recognize that your voice matters?

A series by KQED Education, The Next 250: Youth Voices on Democracy, explores those questions through stories created by young people participating in the KQED Youth Media Challenge and the New Voters summer fellowship.

In the second installment, three young organizers reflect on what motivated them to get involved in voter registration and electoral campaigns. New Voters founder Jahnavi Rao also discusses with KQED’s Almetria Vaba how civic participation can begin long before someone casts a ballot.
