Little Fire Near Pleasanton No Longer a Threat, Alameda County Says
The Little Fire, which burned 1,007 acres in Alameda County this week, is “no longer a threat,” the county sheriff’s Office of Emergency Services said on social media on Wednesday.
Fire crews worked overnight to strengthen control lines and patrol for hot spots, Cal Fire said Thursday, and had achieved 65% containment as of 8:35 a.m.
All evacuation orders have been lifted, and residents can “return home and resume regular activity,” OES said.
Raul Medina, Cal Fire Santa Clara Unit spokesperson, said there are still crews working on cleanup as of Thursday morning and anticipates they will be in the field at least through Friday morning.
No civilian injuries were reported, and the fire did not damage any buildings. One firefighter received treatment for minor injuries after a Cal Fire engine rolled over.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation, according to Cal Fire’s latest update.
