To prevent the spread of coronavirus, six Bay Area counties have issued shelter-in-place restrictions that impact nearly 7 million residents.

That means residents are supposed to stay indoors unless they are performing an "essential activity," like getting supplies that allow them to continue to shelter in place.

Visits to the grocery store and walks outside are okay – just remember to maintain that 6-foot buffer zone between you and other people you may encounter.
