The University of California system, renowned for its research, is losing access to content from the world's biggest publisher of scientific literature. A Dutch company called Elsevier distributes a fifth of all papers written by U.C. researchers in prestigious scientific and medical journals like The Lancet. Does this have potential to stunt the research that's the hallmark of the U.C.?
