Law Enforcement Thwarts Terrorism Plot in LA
The FBI and local law enforcement say they thwarted several planned terrorist attacks in LA County Monday. 26-year old Mark Steven Domingo from Reseda plotted with undercover law enforcement officials to bomb a white nationalist rally that was supposed to take place this past weekend in Long Beach.
Governor Newsom Wants to Increase Security Grants to Nonprofits
On the heels of Saturday’s deadly shooting at a synagogue in San Diego County, Governor Gavin Newsom wants to triple state funding to help protect non-profits that might be the targets of hate-motivated violence.

John Singleton's Groundbreaking Legacy
Filmmaker John Singleton's death is drawing tributes from Samuel L. Jackson, Spike Lee, Snoop Dogg and Regina King. Singleton died yesterday after a stroke. He's being remembered for the way he opened up Hollywood to black actors with his 1991 film "Boyz N the Hood," which was set in South Central Los Angeles.

Inside the Poway Synagogue Where Lori Kaye Died
In Poway just north of San Diego Monday, mourners gathered to honor the life of 60-year old Lori Kaye. Kaye was killed after a 19-year old opened fire on the synagogue Saturday on the final day of Passover. Three others were hurt. Rabbi Mendy Rubenfeld takes us the main entryway to the synagogue, the room where Kaye was killed.

The fall of Saigon, which happened on this day in 1975, may have taken place all the way in Vietnam, but it had ripple effects all the way over in California. When the city fell to communist forces, many families fled and ended up here.
