San Francisco Judge Halts Remain in Mexico Migrant Policy
Yesterday afternoon in San Francisco, a federal judge halted a Department of Homeland Security policy that required some asylum-seekers to wait in Mexico for their immigration hearings. 600 asylum-seekers have been forced to return to Mexico under the policy so far. Meanwhile in San Diego, just minutes after the ruling came down, migrants at an immigration court learned the news.
