Migrant Caravan Embarks on Cross-Country Protest
A caravan of migrants is headed toward Phoenix on Monday after embarking on a 12-week journey across the country. The group started their journey at the steps of Los Angeles City Hall on Friday, and will make their way to Washington, D.C. They are protesting the Trump administration’s decision to end Temporary Protected Status, which provides temporary legal status to people fleeing violence or natural disasters in their home countries.

Victorville Detainees Held Without Respect to Religious Practices
A group of California Congressional Representatives visited the Victorville State Penitentiary and the Adelanto Detention Facility, where ICE is able to hold up to 1,000 detainees. Reports show that some of these detainees, who are of the Sikh faith, were being held without respect to their religious traditions.
