Ferguson Wildfire Continues to Blaze
More than 21,000 acres have been consumed by the Ferguson Wildfire near Yosemite National Park. The fire is still burning and is just 7 percent contained. Firefighters continue to face hot and dry weather, and on top of that, there are rugged conditions to factor in.

And now an update on those children who were separated from their migrant parents at the U.S.-Mexico border. The government must identify the parents of all kids 5 and older this afternoon. It’s an interim step to meeting a court deadline to reunite all the children with their parents by next week.

California Senator Unveils Legislation to Reunify Migrant Families
California Sen. Kamala Harris introduced legislation to require the federal government to immediately reunify all migrant families separated at the border in recent months. The bill, unveiled earlier this week, also requires many of the parents of separated children to be released while they pursue a legal way to stay in the United States.
