Legislature Votes on Homeowner Bill of Rights Today
Five years since the housing bubble burst, it's estimated nearly 700,000 Californians are in some stage of delinquency on their mortgage or in foreclosure. State lawmakers in both houses are due to vote on part of what supporters call the "Homeowner Bill of Rights," a first-in-the-nation legislative package modeled on the mortgage settlement.

Blue Shield Sued by Watchdog Over 'Restricted' Policies
Blue Shield has asked regulators for permission to close some two dozen policies to new members as of today. The company says it's making room for plans that better meet customer needs. But a consumer watchdog group is suing the insurer over this move, and similar closures last year.
