Three Votes for the Price of One
The campaign to elect San Francisco's next mayor is in full swing, with 16 candidates shaking hands and making promises. Aside from issues like taxes, pension reform and homelessness the candidates are also discussing how the winner will be chosen. That's because San Francisco uses ranked-choice voting, where voters get not one vote but three.
