We're coming to the end of cherry season in California. It's brief, even in the best years and this year, picking was hampered by late rains, which also spoiled some fruit. Farmers are used to good years and bad, but then there's the C.J. Olson family, who have been growing cherries in what's now Silicon Valley for more than a hundred years. The California Report's Nina Thorsen tagged along on a recent tour of their orchard.
