The non-profit Prison Law Office has filed a federal class action lawsuit against the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation. The suit alleges the agency is violating the U.S. Constitution with its repeated use of racially segregated lockdowns that punish all members of a particular racial group when an incident occurs.
