Will Truckers Clean Up Their Act?

If you live near L.A., Long Beach or Oakland -- the state's three biggest ports -- you can expect the air you breathe to get cleaner. That's because laws banning the oldest and most polluting diesel trucks from entering California ports take effect this month and next. Truckers complain that the new rules are too expensive, especially in a recession. But treating health problems caused by diesel soot may be even pricier.
