For an industry that thrives mostly out of the limelight in California, the marijuana business got an awful lot of attention this week. First, the Obama administration announced it would no longer prosecute medical marijuana users and growers, as long as they're abiding by state laws. Then federal authorities announced charges against 18 people accused of running a huge marijuana growing operation in the Central Valley. But if there's a ground zero for California's $14 billion marijuana industry, it could be the Humboldt County town of Arcata. How is the proliferation of pot affecting life there?
