Over the last couple weeks, California wildfires have burned more than 10,000 acres. Fighting those fires is challenging enough, but now drones are getting in the way. CalFire reports that encounters between drones operated by hobbyists and firefighters' planes and helicopters are rising. That includes last week in the San Bernardino Mountains east of Los Angeles, when the North Fire jumped a freeway. This week, two state lawmakers introduced legislation to address the issue.
