Legislation Moves Forward to Revise Proposition 47
California voters overwhelmingly passed Proposition 47 last year, a measure to reduce some low-level crimes like drug possession and petty theft from a felony to a misdemeanor. But opponents didn't give up. They took a list of demands to the Legislature to fix Prop. 47. Most of those Prop. 47 fixes are actually minor tweaks. Two of the bills are big enough changes to the initiative that they would have to go back to the voters for approval.

Fresno Kids Design App to Monitor Daily Water Use
The city of Fresno wants its residents to take on the 20 gallon challenge: cut back on daily water usage by that much or more. And with the help of some local kids, it might just work. Five sixth-graders have designed an app that tracks a household's daily water use -- and it's getting support from investors.
