Sacramento's Water Meter Installation Proves Slow and Costly
The city of Sacramento is about halfway through installing water meters, but finishing the job is expected to take another decade, putting the state capital well behind other California cities in terms of meters and water conservation. The 20-year installation job is costing the city about $474 million.
