Special Election - What Comes Next?
California has a lot riding on the outcome of Tuesday's special election, but we may be heading toward a record low turnout. Governor Schwarzenegger was counting on voters passing ballot measures 1A through 1E to help solve the state's massive budget deficit. Alvin worked out some of his grief by producing a tribute album to his old friend. Now, he's put together a new team of musicians with another tribute of sorts to his old band.
A Mezuzah in Space
350 miles above earth, the crew of the space shuttle Atlantis is busy giving the Hubble Telescope a tune-up. One of the astronauts is also carrying with him a symbol of the Jewish religion, designed by a San Francisco artist. It's a replica of something carried into space by his friend, one of the astronauts who died when the space shuttle Columbia broke apart on its return home in 2003.
