North Korea put two California journalists on trial today in the nation's top court. Laura Ling and Euna Lee were working on a story about North Korean refugees for San Francisco-based Current TV in March when they were arrested after allegedly crossing the border from China without permission. Last night, vigils calling for their release were held across the United States. One of the biggest was in Santa Monica.
