Wildfire season kicked into high gear this past week in California. Major blazes burned, and continue to burn, all over the state. The Big Meadow Fire, burning in Yosemite National Park, was set intentionally by firefighters to thin out vegetation. When these 'prescribed fires' burn out of control, they raise big questions about the practice.
