From the Barstow Stampede to the Mother Lode Round-up in Sonora, cowboys and cowgirls compete in bull-riding and calf-roping tournaments in front of bleachers full of corn-dog eating families. And no rodeo is complete with out its queen, a young woman selected for her beauty and horsemanship to represent the sport of rodeo.
