Nine CA Counties Among Worst-off in the U.S.
The Associated Press has released its Economic Stress Index, which uses unemployment, bankruptcy and home foreclosure rates to rank the best and worst-off counties in the U.S. Nine of the 20 most-stressed counties in the nation were in California. They include the absolute lowest-ranked county: Imperial County east of San Diego.
