College sports in the West are dominated by the Pac-10 Conference, where schools like Stanford, Cal and USC often reign. But 100 community colleges in California also have athletic programs, and for many of these athletes, sports can be their ticket to a four-year university. This weekend, eight men's basketball teams from throughout the state will play in the California Community College Championship -- and hundreds of recruiters will be watching.
