Learning to Love Algebra

California schools have higher math standards than most states. The goal is to get all eighth graders enrolled in algebra. But that's a tall order, especially in schools where there's a high immigrant population still struggling to learn English. The last installment of our series looking at math and science education visits a district that's trying to meet the math challenge by having fun.
