Influential composer and pianist Philip Glass has collaborated with artists ranging from Twyla Tharp to Allen Ginsberg, Woody Allen to David Bowie, and written memorable scores for films including “The Hours,” “Kundun” and “Koyaanisqatsi.” Monday night at Davies Symphony Hall, he performs his 1970s composition “Music in Twelve Parts,” a four-hour work that has never been performed on the West Coast.
