Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger and California’s legislative leaders are meeting behind closed doors trying to close a $42 billion budget deficit, and some news reports have suggested that a deal is imminent. But several counties are already preparing to sue the state for missed payments. We discuss the ongoing budget stalemate.
