Oakland-based author and UC Davis English professor Yiyun Li joins us to discuss her acclaimed debut novel, “The Vagrants.” It’s set in an industrial city in northern China in 1979, two years after the death of Mao Tsetung. Li is also the author of the story collection, “A Thousand Years of Good Prayers.”
