Honored last night with the San Francisco International Film Festival’s Golden Gate Persistence of Vision Award, we talk with filmmaker Errol Morris about his latest film “Standard Operating Procedure.” Morris’ other films include “Fast, Cheap, and Out of Control,” “The Thin Blue Line” and “The Fog of War: Eleven Lessons from the life of Robert S. McNamara.” Then at 10:30, we talk to British director Mike Leigh about his career and his upcoming film, “Happy-Go-Lucky.” Leigh is the recipient of the Founder’s Directing Award at this year’s San Francisco International Film Festival. His other films include “Topsy-Turvy,” “Naked” and “Secrets and Lies.”
