Bay Area-based journalist David Sheff and his son Nic Sheff have both written memoirs on their struggles with Nic’s methamphetamine addiction. They join us to talk about the books — and about how their relationship has endured. David Sheff is the author of “Beautiful Boy: A Father’s Journey through His Son’s Addiction.” His other books include “Game Over,” “China Dawn” and “All We Are Saying.” His articles and interviews have appeared in the New York Times, Rolling Stone, Playboy, Wired and Fortune among other publications. Nic Sheff is the author of “Tweak: Growing Up on Methamphetamines.”
