The Valley Fire, which is raging across Lake County and has spread to Napa and Sonoma counties, has burned over 60,000 acres and is just 5 percent contained. The fire, fed by drought conditions and extremely high temperatures across the state, has destroyed more than 1,000 homes and businesses.
